Jess, don't listen to the negative comments about you on here, you are amazing. I have being playing in bands since I was 12 now 29 and you have it all. I know you were maybe a little bummed out sometimes but when your back was against the wall you shone like a star and everyone else on the stage pailed into insinificance. You will go far and I will be buying your cd's and coming to your concerts, front row I hope cause not only are you a truley great performer you are damn hot too, just the total package. You really are not very good. The fact that anyone thinks you can sing suggests to me that no one can really hear.

I tink this was one of ur best performances yet(the other being 'blister in the sun). I feel dat most of the time u fail to connect with da people at home becuz u seem quite serious or nervous wen u perform so mebbe dat passion doesn't show thru.

But this time was da first time I've since u flash a genuine smile after ur performance and it was great. I tink u haf a g8 smile, so use it to ur advantage ). The other time was wen u let loose dancing in blister in the sun..dat was juz hot and electrifying.

Anyways, u are one of da singers I supported ever since I've seen ur potential doing blister. Here's some constructive critism: I tink dat u try to haf this devil may cry/rock persona wenever u get on stage and it doesn't show thru as true...but da smile I saw in ur performance tonite looked genuine to me and u juz looked like a sweetheart.

Keep ur head high, Im sure people will be voting once dey see ur real side..enjoy ur performances and haf a good time.

Hi Jessica, I've missed most of the re-runs on UK TV due to a power cut the other night, but from what I have seen I think you have what it takes. I really like your voice and your stage presence.

One thing to watch... not connecting with the audience properly, watching Elegantly Wasted just now, your eyes seem to be off to the side a lot. Pick someone straight ahead in the audience and own them for the song....

The thing is that there is something lacking in your connection with the camera. You frequently are shot looking away, with a haughty expression. Your voice is good, and technically I think you are one of the best singers, but your performance style doesn't connect with the TV audience. There is some human factor that you need to focus on that will make the viewers really care about you. I think Deanna shares a lesser degree of this problem with you, although her voice is not as strong technically as yours. I sensed the same issue in the beginning with Suzie, but she has since gained an adoring relationship with the camera, and consequently the home viewer. When you are done with your performance, and finally show a genuine smile I can almost connect with you. These are fleeting moments however.
I do think that you have an amazing resiliance and I hope that you can work this out. It will make for the best kind of television if you can turn it around and overcome this obstacle.

I thought you did really well tonight. The pointing thing was kind of annoying though. Your voice has improved alot since the start & I am so glad you quit sounding like Cher! You need to relax & have fun up there. Watch your pitch alittle bit too. Good Luck.

I just wanted to say that I thought you did a great job with Torn. Plus, you smiled at the audience for the first time, which was great. I'll be disappointed if you end up in the bottom three after that performance, because I don't think that it deserved it.

From day one I thought you didn't belong in the show. I still beleive you are better suited for something other than what the show calls for and for the band INXS. I am a fan of INXS - have all their albums. But I am really starting to get disillusioned by INXS's choice to keep you on - three times. I know that if you are the lead singer of INXS, I will never buy another one of their albums.

Don't get me wrong, I think your sound is wrong for INXS, but maybe right for something else.

WORD TO CHUCKEYE on giving props to Ednaswap and Annie Previn. Something closer to Ednaswap's version of the song from their album 'Wacko Magneto' would have lent itself to a more passionate delivery. I always thought Natalie Imbruglia murdered Ednaswap's song.

I have been pulling for you to go far;just a little constructive critique(like u haven't had e'nuff..most u don't deserve),the hand pointing thing is kind of a 'habit' I guess, & I'd try to watch it .
I was born in Chicago @ South Shore Hospital(my Dad's family 1st generation Polish,Catholic;my Mom from GA,& Protestant Eng,Scot,Irish...what a match made in Heaven ,huh?Maybe that's why she picked-up my 2 older bro's & I when I was 3yrs & left ). I think u & I might be related...distant cousins or something;even my Husband sees it....u're build,coloring,nose,chin,eyes,etc. Even your voice . I'm about 15yrs your senoir I'm guessing & alot of my family is still in Chicago....just really uncanny!!!!
Anyway,I'm really in your corner & you will go far with INXS or not; you ROCK sweetie !!!

You have an amazing will and resilience and yoou have my admiration for that. I believe that you have a passion for music within you, that you can feel. It is my opinion that what Inxs has been asking you for over the past few weeks was to give that passion to the audience and let it flow through your music, not only in the vocals, but in your stage presence. Watch the video of last nights performance and study your eyes and your expressions. You have a beautiful voice, but you portrayed to the crowed a sense of concern and worry. You appeared to be concerned or nervous, probably about being in the bottom three. If you show that, it will be a self fulfilling prophecy.
Study the films of yourself and of the rest of the group. If you shed the nerves (easier said than done) and bring your passion out into your stage presence, your music will take care of itself.

You were amazing last night. Suzie really blew me away too. I just thought I would let you in on a secret. The reason why you have been in the bottom three a lot is because people can't get enough of you. :o) Everyone wants to see and hear more of you. So don't get down about it. Just go out and blow us away like you do every week.

I really think you've found your groove. I always root for you and have gotten used to you performing INXS songs (lower three). It may be a help to you in the long run although it isn't so much fun up front.

You're normal. Normal hair. Not too tatted up. Normal clothes. To the 90% of us out there that have normal lives and normal jobs, you're the best. It's like the dream we all have of fronting INXS.

With that said, if you get a song you really like and feel comfortable with, I think you should come out with a totally unexpected look. Something cool but something that Dave et al would never expect from you. If you nailed the song, I think a "new" look might give you a real edge in the competition. Just don't go trashy please.

All the best in the competition and regardless of the outcome, you've proven you can sing.

PS Start smiling at the boys in the audience more. You'll get a lot more votes.
